This endline data was collected for an impact evaluation of a nutrition-sensitive agriculture program implemented under the second phase of the World Bank’s Agricultural Growth Program in Ethiopia. The program aims to improve agricultural productivity, commercialization, and household nutrition. The evaluation aims to generate evidence on how integrated agriculture and nutrition interventions can improve household outcomes and inform relevant government agencies. It also explores the role of women’s empowerment in enhancing the effectiveness of such programs.

Coverage
The data was collected through an endline survey in 96 kebeles across 8 AGP2 woredas in, Oromia (50%), and SNNP regions (50%). Amhara region and two woredas in Oromia region could not be re-visited at endline due to insecurity in these regions.
The datasets consists of 1892 household heads and 1892 spouses.

Sampling
At baseline, eligible kebeles were selected based on AGP2 coverage and minimum agricultural household thresholds. As the intervention was provided to development groups, a list of development groups for each kebele was obtained. A listing exercise was then carried out where each member household of the development group was interviewed to determine eligibility for the baseline survey, which was: agricultural households with couples (married or cohabiting) where the woman is pregnant or has a child under age 2. The survey was then conducted with 3 eligible households per 5 groups in kebele (n=15 per cluster). At endline, all households interviewed at baseline were meant to be re-interviewed. However, due to insecurity in Amhara, only 1309 households were re-interviewed from other sample regions. 583 additional households who were listed but not interviewed at baseline were also interviewed at endline resulting in a total sample size of 1892 households.
Survey instrument
The same questionnaire was used for both the head and wife/spouse interviews. Each section is marked with either "HEAD" - to be administered only to the head; "WIFE" - to be administered only to the spouse/wife; and "BOTH" - to be administered to both. The questionnaire includes household level information on household members, agricultural production, agricultural practices, food security, child health, and individual level information on nutritional and agricultural knowledge, agricultural services, decision-making, time-use, and intervention take-up.

Survey data was collected face-to-face by enumerators at home or on the field. Survey responses were recorded on a tablet using Survey Solutions. The survey was translated from English to local languages.
Data Access
Use of the dataset must be acknowledged using a citation which would include:
