This micro catalog entry contains the Cote d'Ivoire PEJEDEC Apprenticeship Youth Follow-up Surveys collected in 2019 and 2021 for the impact evaluation published in Crepon, Lestant and Premand, 2026, "From Training to Earning: The 7-Year Impact of Dual Apprenticeships on Self-Employment". Specifically, it includes two datasets. Youth 2019 follow-up dataset: "y4_raw_youth_endline.dta" and 2. Youth 2021 follow-up dataset: "y5_raw_youth_endline.dta".

The impact evaluation of the PEJEDEC apprenticeship program was implemented in seven urban localities in the interior of Cote d'Ivoire: Man, Daoukro, Gagnoa, Divo, Bouaké, Adzopé, and Mankono.
Across the seven study localities in the study, 1842 eligible youths applied to participate in the program. They constitute the study sample.

Across the seven localities in the study, 1842 eligible youths applied to participate in the program. They constitute the study sample.
All youth follow-up surveys were collected by phone, but substantial efforts were made to minimize attrition, including with some in-person tracking. As a result, 1,623 youth were interviewed in the 2019 follow-up survey (88.6%), and 1,581 in the 2021 follow-up survey (86.3%).

The 2019 follow-up survey was finalized in January 2020, just before COVID-19 reached West Africa. The 2021 follow-up survey took place between July-September 2021.
