Description

Definition
This variable reports the total years of active duty military service for veterans and those currently on active duty. Those under age 16 or with no active duty military service are included in "N/A" in 1990, and those under 17 or with no such service are coded "N/A" in the 2000 census, the ACS, and the PRCS.
