Other Household Survey [hh/oth]
The dataset presents the listing of households in a selected subset of kebeles as part of the RLLP project. The sample provides a cross-sectional snapshot on the livelihood status of households in different Sustainable Land Management program sites. This listing exercise was not designed to measure causal impacts of the Sustainable Land Management Program implemented from 2013-2018.
The survey questionnaire aimed to provide a parsimonious overview of household welfare. It covered the following topics: household composition, education, time use and labor, food security, crop production, household income, non-farm enterprise, and sustainable land management practices.

This dataset aims at listing households in a selected subset of kebeles. These data was aimed at serving as a sampling frame for future data collection activities in the study. The household listing sample consists of 10,223 households interviewed in 60 kebeles in four regional states: Amhara, Oromia, Southern Nations, Nationalities, and People's, and Tigray. The data collection included a random sample of approximately 170 households per kebele. The sampling frame in each kebele was constructed by using the updated list of households that was typically available in the Kebeles. In a few areas, the survey team updated an old sampling frame. For two kebeles a fresh sampling frame was generated through house to house registration visits. The sample includes three household types: i) those in major watersheds targeted by the second phase of the Sustainable Land Management Program (SLMP-II); ii) those in major watersheds newly targeted under RLLP; and iii) control households in neighboring kebeles not directly targeted by either program.

Data collection took place between January and March 2019. The household listing survey questionnaire was programmed into the SurveyCTO application on Android tablets and trained enumerators administered the survey to household respondents in face-to-face interviews conducted during household visits. The survey questionnaire was developed in English language by the research team and translated into local languages by professional translators. Heads of households were the main target respondents. The average interview duration was 30 to 45 minutes.
