The Cote d'Ivoire PEJEDEC Public Works Endline Survey was collected as part of the impact evaluation of a public works program for urban youth. This survey was conducted 12 to 15 months after the program ended. It collected comprehensive data on employment, earnings, savings, well-being, behaviors, job search, independent activities, and an employment calendar, as well as their household heads. The survey included the whole baseline sample plus 200 individuals added to the control group. Both experiment subjects and household heads were interviewed. The Baseline, Midline and Endline Surveys are available for download in the Microdata Library.

The endline survey sampled the entire baseline sample of 4,160 individuals, including both treatment and control groups. An additional 200 individuals were randomly drawn from original program enrollment lists and added to the control group. This was done because 140 original control group members had applied to or participated in subsequent program waves (waves 3 or 4). Weighting adjustments were applied to remaining control individuals who had similarly re-applied to later waves but were not selected (see technical paper for details).

Endline attrition was 6.2%
Probability weights are built to account for stratification, sampling of non-respondents during tracking surveys (endline), and to adjust for control group members who enrolled in later waves of the program (see technical paper for details).
The endline questionnaire was based on the midline survey and enriched with retrospective information on job search, independent activities (including past projects) and an employment calendar.
